TLE Training:  REMINDER: Tonight at COS Church from 4-6pm.
SAT TEST SITE:  Grove High School is now an SAT test site.  Students who wish to take
the SAT need to register at www.collegeboard.org/register.
  We will be offering the November and January tests.  Limit is 40.

PLAN TEST:  Plan test will be given to sophomores nest Tuesday morning from 8:45 to approximately 11:00 at the Civic Center.Students will be picked up at the flagpole in front of the building.

Juniors and seniors who have failed the EOI test in Algebra I or Biology I should check with Mrs. DuBois or Mrs. Yirsa about taking the PLAN test as an alternate test for those classes.

HIGH SCHOOL HEROES:  Heritage Club junior and seniors sign up on the Indian Education Office door if interested in participating in High School Heroes this year.  

DEADLINE: Oct 10th.  For more information see Mrs. Thompson.

INTERACT: 
First Interact meeting tonight 6:30-7:30pm in HS Library.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Guthridge.

FCCLA: 
Last day to join FCCLA will be Tuesday, October 2nd.  Please see Mrs. Cookson or Mrs. Crawford for more information.

Meeting at Vinita High School Wednesday, October 3rd. 
Will leave from high school at 7:30 and return at

DETENTIONS:
 
Reminder…if you had lunch detention last Friday you are to serve it TODAY, Monday.

ATTENDANCE: 
Students…just a reminder you need to start keeping an eye on your attendance.  If you have questions
or concerns see Karen in the front office between classes or during your lunch.

CHEROKEE LANGUAGE BOWL:  If you would like to sign up for the Cherokee Language Bowl please go to the Indian Education Office…sign-up sheets are on the door.  Deadline is Wednesday, September 12th.

JUNIORS:    
There will be a Junior Homecoming float committee meeting Wednesday, September 12th during both lunches in room B106.

Juniors will begin taking nominations of Homecoming candidates on Wednesday, September 12th. 
Nominations will end after 2ndlunch on Friday, September 14th. You may drop off your nominations of one boy and one girl in the counseling office in the box outside Mrs. Dubois’ door.  Junior class will vote on Monday, September 17th during both lunches.

CHARACTER COUNTS:  There will be a Character Counts meetingThursday morning, September 13th, at 8:00am in Mrs. Fracek’s room OR during both lunches in the Library. 
 Everyone who is interested is welcome to attend.  We have a lot of items to discuss, so please come ready to work.

HOMECOMING: 
Homecoming is September 28th . We will play Collinsville.  Student Council will be getting all the information needed throughout the week.  If you would like your organization to be represented, please nominate and vote on one boy and one girl and give to Mrs. Troppman in the front office.  If you have a single gender organization…still nominate ,vote and bring candidate name to Mrs. Troppman and Student Council will pair with appropriate group.

TEEN COURT SESSION:  Meeting on Thursday, September 13thin room B101 during both lunches.  So please grab your lunch and join us.

BAND:  Congratulations to our 2012 GHS Flag Corp:  2012 GHS Drum Major is Tyler T.      
Wednesday, May 2nd, Jazz Band will perform for Rotary. They need to be dismissed at 10:30 and will return by
1:30.    Thursday, May 3rd, Concert & Jazz Bands will  depart for San Antonio, TX.  Return on Sunday, May 6th @  9:00pm.

ARE YOU IN?  GHS Talent Show tonight at  the MS Auditorium from 6-8:00pm.  Come  show your support to friends & family. Students $2.00/Adults $3.00
